When a new political movement takes root in France and across Europe, the time has come to raise our voices and spark debate to forge a better future for farmers.
My project seeks to contribute to their struggle—not to represent them directly, but to embody their distress and pain. Through a dark, antiquated, precarious, and abandoned atmosphere, I aim to depict the erasure of their faces and voices, oppressed by the state.
This hybrid object, a cross between a hat and a mask, crafted from raffia, a decrepit beer crate, and fabric, is designed to obscure them—to trap them within a political system that refuses to hear their voices. The title translates from French as ❝ Who sows misery reaps anger❞ , a famous quote from the strikers.
